MISTRAL:
Wine Spectator – 90pt – (A dark, fairly toasty style, with lots of alder and juniper notes around the core of black currant, fig and plum fruit flavors. Smoldering tobacco and bay leaf details show on the finish. Still a little tight, so let this open in the cellar.)

Gibert & Gaillard – Gold
DENTELLE ROUGE:
Wine Spectator – 81pt – (Friendly cherry and plum fruit is laced liberally with a rustic, peppery accent. Carignan and Grenache.)
Gibert & Gaillard – Gold
2012
MISTRAL:
-John Livingstone Learmonth (www.drinkrhone.com/ January 2016)
**** – Bonny red robe. Has a round, inviting bouquet – black berry fruit with rosemary and an implied floral presence. It draws back from overt sweetness, but sings a sweet tune. The palate has a savoury, well fuelled attack, with squeezed loganberry and raspberry fruit, and trim grain tannins closely set around it. It has character and superior quality for Côtes du Rhône. It delivers clear fruit and mineral stimulation: it’s a wine that drinks well straight out of the cellar here, chilled. It holds lovely cool fruit, and leaves on’es palate fresh as a daisy. 14.5°. (2019-20 Jan 2016)
Previously Dec 2014 ***(*) good, shiny dark red. Really fresh, essence of grape aroma, an inviting plum-mulberry fruit with a drift of flowers, a liqueur style to it. Lavender also here” This is an inviting bouquet. The palate sequels well from the nose: rather copious fruit is lined with a grainy and peppery tannin. It extends well into a plum-licorice ending. Don’t serve this too warm – the alcohol and weight will be too much, and serving it cool is just fine. It is in the here and now as it stands, with its youth and fullness. Day 2: it is dentelle – lifted, toothsome, has latent power on the palate, blueberry fruit in evidence. Is STGT – lots of herbs and tang in the flavour. 14.5°. 75% Gren, 20% Syr, 3% Mourv, 2% Rouss, (Dec 2014, East Sussex)
-Bettane & Desseauve: 14/20
2011
Lunatique 2011:
89 points in the Wine Spectator : “A burly style, with dark licorice, roasted plum, smoldering tobacco and charcoal notes, all backed by plum skin and tar on the finish. Features a slightly sinewy structure, but shows enough flesh for balance and should settle in with modest cellaring. Drink now through 2015. –JM.”
Mistral 2011:
- 87 points in the Wine Spectator : “Direct, featuring a good core of plum and blackberry fruit, studded with toasted spice and bramble hints. A flicker of mesquite appears on the finish. Drink now through 2014. 500 cases made. –JM“
- Bronze Medal at the Decanter international wine award: “Hay mixed with plum jam, smoke and stone. Lots of character; foods a must.”

A nice juniper edge flashes on the finish. There’s lots of character here, and it should stretch out with some cellaring, too. Drink now through 2018. 100 cases made.”
Mistral 2010:
- 89 points in the Wine Spectator : “Bold and toasted, with espresso and baker’s chocolate notes up front, followed by gutsy blackberry cobbler and blueberry paste flavors.
